"Hover" State Chamber Choir in Saxony

On May 9, the "Hover" State Chamber Choir, under the direction of Sona Hovhannisyan, gave a concert in the European Capital of Culture as part of the “Chemnitz 2025 – European Capital of Culture” program.
The repertoire included works by Komitas, Tigran Mansurian, Anna Azizyan, Wolfgang Rihm, Francis Poulenc, and R. Murray Schafer.
Among the attendees were Ralph Burghart, Mayor of Chemnitz; Lukas Flöther, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Saxony; as well as representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Germany and the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in the State of Saxony.
The concert was initiated by the Embassy of Armenia in Germany, organized by the National Center of Chamber Music, and supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia.
Prior to that, on May 8, the "Hover" State Chamber Choir had the exceptional opportunity to perform at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where the tomb of Johann Sebastian Bach is located.
This performance was made possible with the support of the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in the Free State of Saxony.
