Leipzig Delegation on a Working Visit to Yerevan
The Head of the Office of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in the State of Saxony, Sirarpi Movsisyan, together with the Head of the International Relations Department of the Leipzig City Administration, Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß, and the Department’s Project Manager for Armenia, Christina Rassmann, paid a three-day working visit to Yerevan from June 25 to 27.
The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the preparatory work for the Leipzig–Yerevan Cultural Year, with a meeting held at Yerevan City Hall.
As part of the visit, the guests also toured the Museum of the History of Yerevan, where they familiarized themselves with the exhibitions and the historical and cultural heritage of Armenia’s capital.
The German delegation also visited the French-Armenian Vocational Training Center (CEPFA). During the visit, the delegation members learned about the center’s activities, educational programs, and offered specializations.
Possible avenues for cooperation in the fields of education, culture, eco-tourism, and healthcare—particularly in the field of dental technology—were discussed, with the goal of strengthening Armenian-German relations, promoting youth development, and deepening intercultural connections.
The delegation additionally visited the History Museum of Armenia, where, accompanied by the museum’s director David Poghosyan, they toured the permanent exhibition halls and viewed the special exhibition entitled “On the Paths of Restoring Statehood: 15th–18th Centuries.”
At the end of the tour, Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß left a note in the museum’s Guest of Honor Book.
Furthermore, the delegation held meetings with the Ambassador of Germany to Armenia and with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia
