Armenian delegation takes part in the ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution in Leipzig

On October 9, in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution, the Armenian delegation, including Honorary Consul Prof. Dr. Lucas Flöther, Head of the Consular Office Sirarpi Movsisyan, and Head of the International Relations Department of Yerevan City Administration, David Gevorgyan, attended a lunch hosted by the Mayor of Leipzig. The delegation also participated in a ceremony at the Leipzig Gewandhaus.

Speeches were delivered by Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung, civil rights activist Marianne Birthler, Minister President of Saxony Michael Kretschmer, and Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The event was enriched by musical and theatrical performances from the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Theater of the young world.

Following the ceremony, the invited delegations joined a reception at the Gewandhaus, attended the Peace Prayer at the Nikolaikirche, and participated in the Festival of Lights.
